The images on this page comes from a fantasy adventure story.  The story takes place on a moon which orbits a ring barring  planet similar to Saturn.  There are many other moons in the sky as well.  The images below are depiction's of what one may see during the evening hours.
I created the images using Saturn as the ringed planet and used Saturn's moons (seemed fitting) for the other moons in the sky.  The names of the images are a bit uneventful.  I was really going for just one image, but ended up with several that I liked.

"Sunset By Hills"
This is actually the first compilation I created.  The trees in the foreground are ray traced (ie. computer generated).  Their unique look added to the idea this picture is on an other planet.
Shown in the picture, in order of size: Saturn (very back), Dione (lower left), Enceladus (right side behind tree), Tethys (top right corner), Titan (upper left corner), Iapetus (top near rings) and Mimas (left above Dione).

The trees in the foreground were created by Michael J. Bonnell.

"Sunset Over Water"
In this image, the closest moon (represented by Dione) is in line with the planet.  According to the story, this alignment isn't too uncommon.  However, it is possible for the moon to the left (Enceladus) to be in line with the planet as well-- about as common as a "blue moon" on earth.  Many tails speak of such a time.
Shown in the picture: Saturn (very back), Dione (in front of Saturn), Enceladus (to the right of Dione), Iapetus (on the right horizon), Tethys (upper left corner), Titan (right of Tethys) and Mimas (left above tree branch).

In this image, Saturn is very distant and looks as if it disappears into the clouds.  Saturn size, like the earth's moon, may appear a different size depending on the angel in which it is sits in the sky.
I wasn't sure I liked this image much.  However, a friend said this was their favorite so I'll post it and let the world be the judge.
Shown in the picture is Saturn.

"Saturn Day"
Occurring to the story, there were often "Saturn days" in which the reflected light from the planet would illuminate the land.  The light was not much more than that at dusk, but was enough to navigate by.
Shown in the picture: Saturn and Dione.
